Digital Product Owner
Innovation Group manages critical incidents in the car and home on behalf of the world's leading insurers, brokers and fleet managers, together with warranty and service plan provision for many OEMs and automotive dealerships, globally. We are seeking an Digital Product Owner to join our Global Product team and become a regional expert in our strategic technology platform, Global Gateway, built in Microsoft Azure and servicing our regional and global client base within the Insurance industry. As well as ensuring we successfully position the platform within a complex industrial technology environment and our broader platform capabilities to our internal teams, customers and prospects.

The role will be based in the London however, being a global role, you can expect international travel between our main operational centres. The role reports in to our Head of Product and will be a key member of a team of 25+ Product and Design experts located around the world. This is a highly visible and critical role within the organisation.
• Own the stream of Product primarily related to the development of our strategic Data Engine, Analytics and Data Integrations. You will be responsible for the strategic roadmap of this stream within the context of the wider global strategic product roadmap.
• Working closely with the Product Manager in the development of the data & insights roadmap – working within an agile framework and working alongside our regional and global development teams.
• Understand and explain the opportunities presented by Innovation Group’s Global Gateway platform.
• Experience writing Epics, User Stories and articulating the vision of the those journeys to the scrum team within refinements.
• Work closely with our regional business teams to help define modern operating models around Data and Analysis and processes related to your product stream, relevant to their operations but also inline with our strategic positioning on automated, digital and self-service technology.
• Expertly position and demo our solutions, while highlighting the ease of use and configuration options of the platform.
• Help customers understand the capabilities of Global Gateway, including our Data and Analytics capabilities, and how they can extend Innovation Group beyond its core functionality.
• Drive usage and adoption of our broader platform capabilities including our APIs and digital services.
• Provide regular updates to our internal customers (sales/ support /marketing) on our Platform messaging.

Skills & Knowledge
• Practical experience and working knowledge of the Insurance, Finance or similar industries and this may include InsureTech, FinTech, core platforms and industry integrations.
• Experience writing Epics, User Stories and articulating the vision of the those journeys to the scrum team within refinements.
• Experience working as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst is desirable.
• Proven previous experience in a product management, solution architecture or relevant technical role.
• An understanding of cloud technologies – ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrable understanding of modern analytical practices and technology.
• Experience of the latest data and analytics technology and techniques including data engineering, visualisation and modelling.
• Architected complex enterprise solutions with RESTful APIs, Web Services, Backend integrations, database design, data modelling, etc.
• Built web applications and are familiar with most current web development technologies.
• You love sparring with customer Enterprise Architects, recommending best practices and challenging the perceived status quo.
• Passionate about rapidly evolving new technologies and keen to promote in 1:1 and 1:M environments.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• A bias towards action and the ability to work well in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.

Additionally experience in the below is a distinct advantage:
• Previous experience as a technical evangelist, technical product manager or another role where technical, commercial and interpersonal skills are required.
• Demonstrable evidence of creating a market leading product with customers consuming it.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Demonstrable curiosity, with a specific personal interest in technical problem solving and providing creative, best-in-class technical customer support.
• Experience of working within an international team.
• A desire to travel internationally
